Last week I went to town with a friend and brought Tony with me. He seldom gets to town. We visited the feed store for supplies and two pet stores. Talk about presence. Tony walked in the feed store and everything stopped. They were having their annual fowl sale and so people were there looking at the birds. Tony looked at the birds and then sat down and waited. The people were all over him. So many comments on his behavior. He patiently soaked up all the petting. We also went to the pet stores and once again he was the center of attention. He was so calm, cool and collected about it all. He was patient with sort of a ho-hum attitude knowing he was much prettier than all the fowl and everything else. Many cookies were offered but he declined and so they ended up in my pocket. In the pet store he was thirsty and they were tending fish and he drank fresh water for the fish and they were happy to get new water as Tony needed a drink. It was a nice outing for him and he loved every minute of it but was so calm about it all. He was in command of his world.
