I have a friend who is a psychologist and she would say that the "genetic temperament flaw" is within themselves. By projecting that "flaw" on to their dogs and allowing their dogs to be killed, their "flaw" is being cured. Of course we know that they will never own their inadequacies, or be accountable for their actions. Payback is a beeeoootch.
