I know for certain it is Easter because Dogobunny is out. This is a true sign of Spring. In the winter I see bunny tracks but his appearance means its Spring once again.
Dog breakfast is cooling on the counter (I always make too much oatmeal) a new pot of milk is warming on the stove to later become yogurt. Once breakfast is ready the dogs will go outside for the day as it appears to be a sunny one.
One of the joys of my life has been my little flock of chickens. I have made sure I can see them from my kitchen window in their yard and they are such fun to watch and hear clucking around waiting for their morning scratch. These are not meat chickens but laying hens and when they expire they get a proper burial they are not grown for food only eggs.
This simple life is my Easter and every day. The sounds and smell of the mountains, the fields now covered with patches of tiny flowers of all kinds with the wind chimes tinkling in the breeze.
My wish for all of you who read this is more of the same in the version that pleases you most.
