Well I think Spring has arrived finally. Having done lots of outdoor work with yard, garden (veggie and flower) I decided to take a break. Not to happen. The sun came out and suddenly got very burning hot and I had to go out and put up the UV screens over the dog pens. That is a project for one person as it really requires two. I finally got at least each dog a screen for shade and protection. I could not let them sit out in the burning hot sun without protection from the deadly rays. There is more to be done but at least they all now have more than half of each pen covered for shade. Lots of fresh water and platforms to lie on. One of these days I will get the same for me. Next major project is an addition of Yard space for the chickens and a clean coop. I did get their exhaust fan working in the coop so now they have cross ventilation. I also had the entire fields sprayed for ticks as they are bad this year. Now all I have to do at the moment is some fencing reinforcement and fill in some holes dug by a dog who shall be nameless. Hint: He is from Holland. He is a digging fool.
A bit more planting to be done (crop rotation) and I will be able to sit back and watch things grow. Yeah right!!!
Now I have to make some dog beds for the kennel dogs. Its Summer you know. Wolf
