You could stop this behavior but it does show you have a happy dog on your hands. If you are feeding raw than I would recommend stopping the behavior as it could be messy and not very healthy to have that tracked all over the place. To stop this just supervise the feeding and use a correction when the behavior starts. If it continues make the dog move away from the food (do not take the food away) then pick up the food and hand feed one chunk at a time correcting any bad behavior as you go. Each feeding, start by making the dog do a command for the food such as sit and put the food down as usual and supervise the feeding and correct and take control of the food each time the food playing starts. The dog will soon understand feeding time is not play time. Every dog is different and controlling a dogs food can be dangerous if not done properly so do not attempt this unless you are comfortable in such a situation and know how to control your dogs food.
