I love the attitude this post projects.
We were promised change. We got change but not the very thing we wanted or expected. The way things used to be are no more and never will be. This is difficult for some as I see many waiting for things to return to they way they used to be and they never will. We now have to delve into what we are made of and make a new start. Country people do this every day as their lives are not as easy as some.
Finding new ways to survive and enjoy life and care for life is how we will make the new world work. This is a good time to share our "how-to's". How to build a chicken coop, how to grow food in pots if need be. How to conserve water. How to raise guard dogs as they are in demand for protection against those who would take what is not theirs. How to use the barter system. This is a system where skills are shared and exchanged. It does require being nice to each other. 
How to build a Victory Garden. How to fix things. So lets share our experiences and ideas. Instead of waiting for someone to do it we must do it ourselves.
Its planting time. In a couple of months it will be canning time. Many of you do not have gardens but you do have farm markets and so food is available. Veggies and fruits are easy to can and store for the winter months. They are healthier, less expensive and taste wonderful. We can all find excuses on why we do not have time to do things. Maybe its time to evaluate time and put it to better use. This is why the attitude in the above post is so important. Finding new ways to make things work better instead of complaining and waiting for someone to do it for you.
The light of the moon, sunshine, rain, soil. earthworms, wind, bees all contribute to gardens and by the way they are free.
We have been exchanging recipes and diets for a while now and also many uses of things like vinegar as a water softener for clothes, washing windows, killing weeds and such. I am sure there are many more things we do not know about that can be shared. Storm has opened the door and showed us one way she is working to make her life better and so its time others did the same. We can make this work for our betterment.
I look forward to hearing from all and sharing methods and ideas. Come on board folks and give up some of those secrets.
