The downtown area of San Clemente has a farmers market the first Sunday of every month. The main street is closed and all the local farmers set up booths. I always stock up on mostly organic fruit, veggies, honey, bread and goodies. It makes me feel good that I'm not supporting the giant factory farms and all the sickness and pollution they produce. I'm buying locally so the products are not shipped in by truck, rail or ship which lowers the consumption of fossil fuels. The biggie is that the products are made in America -- not crap $hit from China.
