In response: FCI paperwork is the world registry and the acceptable one for breeding however because of the US not being an FCI country UKC papers are acceptable. This opens the breed to a venue where people can show their dogs. While it is not my cup of tea, I feel we have to make some adjustments so as not to isolate the breed completely. However I only register FCI.
Having said that, I do not agree with isolated dog clubs only allowing their own registered dogs to show and most legitimate clubs such as ARBA/CRBA do not do this.
As far as show titles related to breeding practices they have no meaning. Breeding is about bloodlines and nothing more. Polluting the lines by trying to recreate the breed introducing other dogs does not work. One cannot recreate the breed. One can correct certain flaws by carefully breeding clean lines. Reaching out to other breeds does not do it. People tend to breed geographically as it is easier and less expensive.
As far as altering paperwork this is done all the time both in rare breeds and registered breeds. This is dishonest and a human trait and while it is wrong it is what it is as ethics are not paramount in the human world. There are ethical breeders few and far between. I for one, do not agree with mixing breeds or making new ones. It does not improve the breeds in any way and has become a novelty. However once done we lose the purebred and now have a multitude of mutts. It is only about money and not about the benefit of any breed and in many cases should be outlawed as the result is not always a good one as in the case of Cavaliers that brains are too big for their heads and many breeds that cannot breath because of altered heads. I could go on forever but no one seems to listen.
