A blanket statement about sellers being dishonest and only meeting their own goals is not necessarily always true. Many sellers are more interested in the home they are placing their pup, in my case, than the money involved. You know this to be true as I have freely given a pup to the right home with no exchange of money when I felt it was the right thing to do. It is not always about money or the sale. I also know others that do provide what they claim. I have the proof and the DNA to back up my dogs so their is no doubt that you are getting what is promised.
Is it fair to lump everyone into one category when you know for a fact that while there are those who are not honest there are those who are?? Not everyone is about money only. Yes, I believe it is fair that I be paid a decent price for the stock I provide however I also have put many years of work and careful genetics into the stock that I have. Good breedings and reputations do not happen overnight. I have always mantained that show quality or titles do not mean anything much but genetic quality and purebred, in the case of my dogs, does mean a great deal in that you have a researched bloodline that has proven over time to be a healthy, stable, intelligent dog that can provide your needs if you agree to do the proper training and hold up your end of the bargain. This is why I have always maintained that the registration should be FCI as mine all are, and the world registry proves that the lines have not been broken and the dogs are purebred. DNA also shows exactly what breeds are in the given dog and that the combination of the sire and dam are the only combination that can produced the pup beyond doubt.
I do not know the genetics of chickens as my small flock is not raised for money producing but only for fun and eggs. They are pets.
I agree anyone can be cheated but not everyone cheats.
