I have noticed over the years that Bodhi has a very protective instinct. He always positions himself between me and and unknown people -- he never displays any aggressive behavior at all, he just walks between us. When I have him in the unimproved natural areas, he will always jump between me and whatever we happen upon -- lizards, rabbits, coyotes, whatever. I never trained him to have that behavior. When the FedEx or UPS delivery person comes to the office, Bodhi hates it when I have to sign the electronic scanning device -- he gets right between us and has to check out the scanner before I'm "allowed" to have it. It's actually kind of comforting to know he has my back.
