Living in the country can have its drawbacks when it comes to dogs. I have found that when a dog digs it often uses its head to collect dirt and after it has dug several inches or feet below the surface we are then faced with a whole new area that contains different bacteria. This has caused a dog to suddenly acquire a strange rash type lesion on its head. I have been battling this every summer with one of my dogs who is a tunnel digger. After many tries I have finally found something that works well to remove and clean up the bacteria type lesion. Thanks to Norman, Voodoo who picked up the same thing, and a vet in Mexico he was given a powder that works in three days. It was not available here in the States however through much searching I finally found it under another name SULFER. lO and behold a couple of applications of this powder and the lesion is cured. I was totally amazed. I have to wonder why our vets do not know about it.??? It is not expensive and I am now using sulfer soap in the house.
Once again an old remedy works better than any antibiotic and actually cures with no ill effects.
This along with collidal silver are two of the best harmless and inexpensive treatments. So much for progress.
