No you do not have odd dogos. You have well bred and genetically sound dogos. You also do not expect more from a dog than a dog can deliver. You treat them as they should be treated, as dogs and you respect them therefore they understand you and respect you. It does not take a lot to understand a dog or communicate with one. They are always open and looking for some kind of a sign as to what you want and how can we come to a place where we both are happy. Treating them as dogs and not humans (which are inferior in so many respects) makes the difference. We cannot treat each other well so how can we go outside ourselves and treat another species well? We have to get over the fact than we are not infallible and the top of the food chain. WE have to learn to share. These are qualities that many lack. WE are not Gods.
