Posted by Eric So our Innaugural Event took place January 13th and it was a blast. We took a big risk scheduling it at the same time as the beloved New Orleans Saints took the field to beat the Eagles, but it worked out well. As a starter, the 4 members of the Sauced Generation decided to start out with Bourbon and Rye whiskeys to mix for everyone. It seemed to go off well. Lauren made a classic old standard - the old Fashion with Makers Mark; Lee made a family recipe similar to a whiskey Sour called a Wolf Whistle with Jim Beam; Nate made a fun flavored drink with Jack Daniels called a Tennessee Apple; and I brought out a New Orelans Classic with Overholt Rye called a Sazerac. It was a great experience and I think it was a tie for best drink between Nate & Lee in terms of popularity at the tasting. I unfortunately didnt do the Sazerac justice with uncontrolled pouring of the herbsaint. If you went, what did you think?
