The now Nakamora's had a wonderful wedding ceremony. They had it in beautiful San Juan Capistrano, CA. Rather than having the whole kit and caboodle, they decided to have a small private wedding and have a beautiful outdoor reception in a romantic garden area. It went off great. This was probably one of the best wedding ceremonies I had been to and not because he had an open bar. The food was outstanding: they had 3 stations of 3 different types of foods for every pallate. Being from New Orleans, I had a trip to each station.
Then, as I sat there slowly dying of a enjoyment, the coup de gras occurred. They had chosen not to have the traditional wedding cake...a action that I see more and more couples opting out of...instead they had a station set up for "SPECIAL" chocolate covered strawberries. Now most people have been to wedding where you have that basic metal fountain flowing with generic chocolate where you run up with your marshmellows or strawberries and dip them within the fountain. Not the NAKAMORA's!!!!! They had a chef standing behind a table where on one side a pot of dark, rich, aromatic chocolate being melted down...on the other side...sweet, smooth, white chocolate being melted down. Then between the two pots, four syringes and four bottles of booze: Amarretto, Contreau, Frangelico, and Chamborde. He would take large juicy strawberries and ask you what alchohol you wanted injected into the strawberry and then which chocolate coating. I had at least 4 dark chocolates filled with frangelico (hazelnut liquer) or Amaretto. This was awesome. The only catch was once you bit into a strawberry it tended to squirt some of the booze and juices out. But it was great!!!
Afterwards, Brian and his father Paul joined me for a cigar at their hotel in Dana Point to end a wonderful night!
