I love this breed! In my 50 plus years of being a complete dog lover, I have had many dogs and I do rescue also. I have never in my life been around a more intelligent and problem solving dog. This is not a good dog for most people, because most are not as smart as these dogs! My Asalya is 3yrs old, and my great joy. She knows 30+ comands and is excellent as house companion. I also have 3 Bouvier des Flanders. My first Bouvier, 20 years ago is not the same type of dog as are my current Bouviers! The show dog people have ruined the breed, big hair, designer color and a softer aditude make for insecure and reactive dogs. Plus a once healthy breed is now #3 in cancer. The show dog community is doing the same with this breed so they can get AKC recognition! Sad, because this is a great breed.
