This Saturday at 10:30, I am going to do the East Providence to Bristol ride for the ones that couldn't make it a few weeks ago. It is a very nice ride and I want others to experience it. It is about 35 miles at an intermediate pace 12-13 mph. The route will be starting at East Providence, through Swansea, Seekonk, Barrington, Warren, Bristol and retuning though Barrington past the RI Country Club with many scenic views of Narragansett Bay.
Directions:
From the Warwick area: Take 95 north to 195 east. After the Gano Street exit get into the far right lane and take exit 4 (the sign says 44 EAST / TAUNTON AVE. / RIVERSIDE). Bear to the right towards Riverside and follow the road about a half mile to the top of the hill where there is a parking lot. That's the start of the East Bay Bike Path and our ride.
From the Smithfield area and points north: Take 146 south to 95 south and 195 east.
From the Fall River area: Take 195 west to exit 6 for 103/44 East Providence. Take a left at the end of the exit ramp, and go straight through the lights across rte 6 (Warren Ave). Travel about a mile until you come to the end. Water will be in front of you. Take a right onto Veterans Memorial Parkway. You will go up a hill, past a small parking lot and up a little further past the entrance to the Metacomet Country Club on you right and a professional complex on your right. We will meet in the next parking lot on your left after traveling about a mile.
