Hey All,
On Saturday, November 15 the Sidewalk Cafe will host the first ever Friends & Neighbors Benefit, with local acts helping to raise money for a neighborhood non-profit/business. For this show, the money raised will support Threads That Teach. Threads That Teach works out of a few public schools in the neighborhood, helping students design and sell their own clothing line and subsequently funding the school's arts program. The kids learn a variety of life skills. The money we are raising helps buy the raw materials for the clothing, as well as cover the fingerprinting hefty costs that the NYC Dept of Ed requires of all volunteers working within the schools.
