Hey People,
Ben Krieger here to tell you that I HEART U is back!!! The 2.5 hr event will take place on Thursday, May 21. There will be headlining acts following the event. If you are new to I Heart U, read below:
All participating musicians will be invited to play ONE cover song that has been written by local artists. You pick the song(s)…surprise us! The only thing I ask is that the artist be local, perhaps someone you know as well as admire. The usual suspects—Dylan, Mangum, Buckley, Pollard, Mitchell, etc—have gotten enough cover love.
As usual, I am inviting a wide variety of musicians from the Antifolk scene to perform: current stars, distinguished alumni, and talented freshmen alike. It’s going to be a laid-back night of flattery.
PLEASE EMAIL ME A CONFIRMATION IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PERFORMING A SONG AT I HEART U. I expect the list to fill up quickly.
