When I think of all the various do-gooder songwriters who link their so-called art to a benefit or cause versus those that have created art for art's sake I must say I have personally been way more influenced by artists than by activists. I am so glad Beethoven, Kerouac, James Dean and Charles Schulz didn't waste their time and mine putting together social networks and "communities" or use their art "to heal". ####in' hell just shut up, plug in yr ax and gimmee some truth!
