A column in today's Times presents the obvious and is well worth reading.
As important as the column is and how it's something we are all well aware of, I feel that the so-called liberal youth of America are idling standing by and letting this happen. Where is the countermarch to the Tea Party Activists? Where is the march in support of our president. Biden said Obama would need it 6 months into his presidency, and he was right. Where are you? Just typing in on message boards or facebook is nowhere near enough. When the hopes and dreams we voted into office crumble like sandcastles against waves of racist, homophobic, anti-feminist and just plain ignorant forces stirred up by hate radio and the Republican leadership saying "I told you so" will no t wash you clean. Now is the time to organize. Now is the time to say no to the rising tide of bigotry and abhorrent propaganda that is out there. Your president needs you, the country needs you...do something!
