Are you living in ohio now? I agree that getting involved locally is a good idea but I think what is truly needed now is a national movement to counter the Tea party/hate radio crowd. It is simply untenable that single hate-filled rightwing monolithic media outlets like WOR Radio in NYC or the Fox Propaganda Network exist without challenge. The confluence of these outlets hitched to the steady diet of pinpointed hate-websites create artificial worldviews that the coalition of like-minded racist, xenophobic masses believe is truth. This in turn is creating an atmosphere that is going to produce electoral upsets and legislative logjams at the leastand some terrible acts of violence at the worst.
The majority of good Americans who find the so-called teaparty's slogans and sneers hateful need to stand-up today and let their voices be heard in similar displays of mass gatherings...as it's been said before "Evil exists when good people do nothing."
