Dig... I've starting running nights in the Marlin Room at NYC's landmark music venue, Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street). This is a beautiful 500 capacity room restored to it's original 1930's art deco look with a wonderful sound system installed by Grammy winning producer Kirk Yano.
Every Tuesday night I host Lach's Antihoot. Doors open at 7pm, sign-up to perform at 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm. There is no cover charge, no drink minimum and no tip-jar! PBRs are only three bucks and there are plenty of big comfortable couches and booths to relax and enjoy the night :-)
On Wednesdays I host the new series: "Lach Presents...". Every week I bring five acts for five bucks into the Marlin Room at Webster. Doors at 7pm, first act at 7:30pm. We have a full back-line for the bands and already it's become the buzz-room on the scene. I book many of the Wednesday night slots directly from acts I see at the Tuesday Antihoots.
I hope you'll take the opportunity to stop by and check out what we've got going on, I think you'll be very happy that you did.
PS- This coming Wednesday March 31: Erin Regan, The Telethons, Sonic Blue Sound Review, The Drew Blood, Leopold and His Fiction
