Hi ,
I wonder if anyone can help me.
We have been informed that Lt James G Denny , of Caswell county , NC , had been seconded to General Robert E Lees staff after The Battle of Bentonville in NC and was present at Appotomax when Gen Lee surrendered to General Grant on April 9th 1865.
There were Dennys living in Yanceyville , North Carolina at this time but were originally from Virginia .
Originally they were from Glasgow , Scotland and came to Virginia around the early 1800s
If anyone can help , I would be grateful
Kindest Regards from Bonnie Scotland
Yours Aye
Stewart Denny , Glasgow , Scotland
