Don't torment yourself with the question of whether your choices as parent would make a difference. Our days are numbered before we are even born. Job 14:5, Psalm 139:16b. Many days I also wonder; what if I did this or if I did that, would Nathan still be alive? Then I can only hang on to Proverbs 16:33. God is in control. We don't have to like it, all we have to do is trust and never let go of God's hand.
