Today Christina would have been 22 yrs old. One of her friends dropped off a shamrock plant for me at work today, in memory of her. My neighbour from where I used to live called to make sure I was okay. So did my mom. She said she took an angel down to C's grave, even though it was under 2 feet of snow! She is buried a mile down the road from where my mom lives, and 30 miles from me, so my mom "tends" her grave regularly. But the most meaningful thing that happened today was an email I got from one of C's friends that lives in B.C., where C lived for 2 yrs. I want to share it with you. Tiffany wrote:
"On this day, several years ago, you gave birth to a beautiful little girl named Christina. And although she is no longer on this world, her presence is still felt by the many people that she touched in her life, including mine. This day is still to be celebrated, as it marks where her journey started, and everything good she brought into the world thereafter.I love and miss her, and thank you for being a big part of giving Christina life so her light could shine. Smile, Eva, she was yours and she was amazing. Happy Birthday to your baby."
I feel so special, giving birth to a girl who touched so many. Even though her life was short,she will never be forgotten by anyone that met her. Eva
