Tracey,
This is so heart breaking. I have a Stephen also who is just about the same age. I am so sorry for this terrible thing to happen to your family.
The only explantion I have is that God needed him to do something that only Stephen could do for Him. We are all as individual as our DNA, and there is some very special talent of Stephen that God needed him for. Or maybe God just loves Stephen so much that wanted him back.
I will pray for them and for his young wife and his mother.
