Eva,
I am so happy for you that you are starting a new chapter in your life. Your beautiful daughter is right there with you all the way, with everything you do. If I were you, I would go ahead surround yourself with her things. If that is what comforts you, then why not? I do the same sort of thing. I have Bobby's guitar in my living room, an album of pictures sitting on my coffee table, his picture is on the shelf in my living room, along side his beautiful golden box which contains his ashes. And last week, my youngest son gave me a fireman's cap with Bobby's name on the back of it. I don't care if these things make anyone else uncomfortable. I live here and they make me feel closer to him. I look at a hundred pictures of him most everyday because it keeps his memory near to my heart. And when I get desperately lonely for him, I pull out movies and watch him walk, talk and laugh. I listen to the music that he loved. I even talk to him. Why not.
You do whatever you want to keep your daughter's memory close to your heart and don't worry about it. If it brings you comfort, do it.
Love to you,
Patti
