Well, after finding out that Lora's heart recipient had died in 2006, I decided to contact the organ donation agency for an update on the other three donor recipients as well.
The liver recipient is still doing well, and the kidney/pancreas recipient is doing well. However, the single kidney recipient apparently had to receive a replacement kidney in 2005 as Lora's kidney quit functioning for him. Since the other kidney is still doing well, it makes me wonder if this kidney recipient is not following "dr's orders" in taking care of his health. I don't know. Anyway, two of the four recipients still have Lora's organs... but yet again, finding out another piece of our Lora died has saddened me, and I find myself having nightmares about her again.
When you think of it, please pray for me to have peace of mind. ((hugs))
