Thank you for the encouraging words, Rose. I have known the story of this hymn for many years, yet after our Lora died, I had a far greater appreciation of this man's faith and perseverance. I think Americans used to be much tougher mentally and spiritually than we are today; and fully understood & accepted that THIS world is NOT our home. Since Lora's death, I have read many biographies of saints from previous generations, to inspire and strengthen my own weak faith. It has truly helped me gain perspective.
