I'm like you...I don't like to take drugs, although I do at times. I don't even like to go to the doctor and only do so when I absolutely have to. That’s just me.
Doctors are trained to prescribe medicine and the drug industry is a HUGE money maker! Drugs just treat symptoms, but don’t always get to the roots.
I've been on Prozac in the past, and experienced negative side effects. My 25 year old son that just went to Heaven was on Wellbutrin and, had seizures as a side effect and had never in is life ever had them before. It terrified him! Sometimes the side effects are worse than NOT taking the drugs.
For your information, in Rev 9:20 the word translated as “sorceries” in the KJV, is the Greek word “pharmakeia” (Which is where the word “Pharmacy” comes from)
Thayer Definition:
1) the use or the administering of drugs
2) poisoning
3) sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it
4) metaphorically the deceptions and seductions of idolatry
All that said, I agree with what everyone else says. Do what's best for you. Doctors don't always know what is best. Pray about it and ask Jesus to lead you and He will.
Also, there are a LOT of things that you can do naturally that can help. For example, take slow, deep breaths if you feel anxiety coming on. Take daily walks and get plenty of sleep. There are certain foods that lower stress levels, too. Just giving you other options, Sister.
We are all in this together, so ask people to pray when you need it.
Father, I lift up my sister, Trish, to you right now and I THANK YOU that you are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! There is no other god like YOU!. I thank you that you already bore the pain and sadness she is feeling when you went to the cross. Even though it is difficult for us to understand, YOU understand! You've experienced it all for us! Please bring supernatural, comfort to her that only You, the God of all Comfort, can give. Jesus, I also pray that you use people that she comes in contact with to encourage her and lift her up when she needs it. Call in people to intercede for her when she needs it. I thank you that you are a GOOD God and that you are right there with my sister, Trish, at ALL times. Let her feel your arms of LOVE wrapped around her holding her tight. Reveal yourself to her in a way that You have never done before. Give her wisdom in knowing what medications she should take that would be helpful to her. You know more than the doctors because you are her Creator! Also, each time she thinks of her sons, may it be good memories. In addition, bring to her remembrance how this is not the end. That she didn’t just birth them for this temporal world, but she birthed them for eternity and that she WILL see them again soon. Give her dreams of them in the night that will give her an assurance of how happy they are. I thank you that you hear and answer our prayers, Jesus.
