Sandra,
This is from Corinthians speaking about the enemy of death.....
"Death has been swallowed up in victory."
"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?"
"The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is our victory (yours, mine and your son's victory) over the enemy of death. The enemy of death has been conquered by Lord Jesus Christ.
It is so difficult for us to understand the victory while we are still here because we are still suffering - we haven't experienced the victory over our own death - not yet, but we, too will conquer the enemy of death and walk into the victory.
When Bobby first died, he came to me when I was in a drowsy,dream-like semi-conscious state of mind. But he was there. I saw him and I heard him, and he touched my arm. He told me "I'm Okay Mom. Please don't cry, I'm hear with Jesus and there is so much love." It was so real to me. Bobby was so happy! He had witnessed the victory over the enemy of death. And sometimes when I am grieving and falling apart from thoughts of guilt put in my head by the devil, I remember back when God allowed Bobby to come to me and tell me that he is okay, and I saw how happy he was. I know that even though I don't understand it all, I know that everything is okay. Bobby's spirit is with God. He told me so, and I believe it.
Love to you Sandra,
Patti
