I traveled the United States for eight years and wanted dogs, badly, but unable to take care of them due to my traveling. So I continued looking for the breed I wanted once I returned home for good. American Bulldog or APBT, AB or APBT. One night in Los Angeles CA. I was returning to my hotel and spotted a few people behind the Outback steakhouse. They had two adult APBTs and a pup. My extroverted personality took hold and introduced myself. Late night in L.A., strangers, dark parking lot and APBTs what a combination. The fellow turned out to be Anthony from Immortal Kennels and he debunked the myths and answered many questions a naive individual would have about APBTs. I returned home and RAN OUT and bought the first APBT I saw, literally. I did little research as to what to look for in a dog. Within a few months I had four game dogs and everything in my backyard was eaten or in the process of being eaten. After one year I dropped back and punted. I kept my original male and began researching the breed. I then found the MSAPBTC and there was an upcoming show, neat. I asked a lot of people questions about their dogs and as I was about to leave I ran into Doug Bell. The next weekend we traveled to Angie and Doug's house and we got to know each others families. Two years later I purchased Ollie, my first show dog. She is now eight months and I work with her every day hoping one day she will CH. out. (Crossing fingers as I type)
