I am constantly looking for new ways to raise monay for Pit Bull rescue centers, and inform club members about BSL. Sometimes it feels like it just isn't sinking in, but I won't quit on my dogs b/c they won't quit on me.

My name is Megann Thompson, I am 21 years old and I live in Biloxi, MS. I got my first APBT when I was 16, she just came running up to us! There were three of us there, and we decided to all own her together. That kinda sucked, though, b/c she didn't live with me, so I didn't see her every day. After I turned 17, my grandma let me get my own dog. Her name is Noodles, she is fat and spoiled. My grandma stole her from me a few months after we got her, and told me that when I got my own place she would buy me any dog I wanted. When I was 19, I moved in with some friends and started dating Brandon. I wanted another dog, so he brought me out to Jerry and Shyann's house, and I bought my first registered APBT from them, Yay-yo. Brandon trained him for weight pull, and he was doing really well up until a few months back when he threw out his knee. I got my second dog when Yay-yo was about 10 months old, Sylon. Brandon also trained him.
I have learned alot about this breed over the past 5 years, mainly because I would (and still do) spend hours on the internet reading up about them. I got really hooked on bloodlines and researching the different kinds there are. When I get out of school and am able to really expand, I know exactly what bloodlines I want, what kennels I want them from, and the dogs I want them off of. I hope to be able to add a new dog to train myself this year.... I will keep my fingers crossed....
