Posted by Cathy * Ultimately to walk away with majors, a smile and new people to talk to and learn from. What do you think will happen? * The first show, I thought my dog would drag me across the ring...lol. Now, I think we'll have fun and learn from mistakes and hopefully do better each time we go out. How do you determine if your dog should win on the day? * I am new to showing so I just want to be in the ring and winning is a bonus. The judges determine if a dog will win or not and that's what matters at the end of the day. I just hope to have a good eye and see if I am learning enough to take an educated guess at it based on the breed standard. What is your goal for each show you attend? * To walk away with more knowledge than I came there with. To do the best I can handling and for my dogs to enjoy themselves. I want to have fun and meet new people. Winning is always a goal, but learning is a greater prize whether my dog gets a ribbon or not. To have more knowledge and ribbons would be great though!!!
