I was living in Athens in 1999 and it wasn't a good scene- I stayed in for 2 days until Clinton left. I've been on the phone and email today trying to find out what happened. So far it seems like some "houligans" which is what would be the equivalent of gangbangers here got into a scuffle, one of the kids was shot and the rioting insued.
