I'll bet it was the same culprit, as I totally recognize the registry name. He called me about 2 YEARS ago, while I was outside tending to my current litter of Oldies. NOT a good time to catch me off guard, to say the least. He had tried e-mailing me and said the same type of things in his messages, and I did the block-sender thing. Then he called me. I am very PROUD of my 4-legged kids; put that together with the summer heat I was dealing with... and when answered the phone, I was in the process of scooping poop and doing all the lovely duties that we breeders do. For the most part, my jaw dropped open within a few seconds of the phone call. He was full-force giving me a really bad time about my breeding program and how my dogs looked stupid without their tails. I DID ask, "What in the world makes you want to call ME and slam my dogs to ME? Are you THAT BORED?" and he answered with, "I see on your website that you dock regular tails but you leave screw tails. The Olde English breed is supposed to have straight tails. If I have a puppy born with a screw tail, I put it down at birth. You should never..." - to which I quickly interrupted and ended the call with this:
"Look - I don't know you, and I have never even HEARD of your stupid registry, and I will never be a PART of your registry. I think a screw tail is one of the most precious things that can BE on an oldie! And if you're killing puppies because of a cosmetic detail, you're a murderer. Don't you EVER call HERE again, or I'll have you searched down and arrested.
Know what? He never called back. Seriously, I nearly fainted from his verbal attack, because I just didn't see that coming. That guy has problems in the head -- I think I've read before on another board where he has been in trouble with the law for harrassment as well as animal cruelty. But, there ARE mean people in this world... I guess he is just one of them. For all we know, there could be more than just one person from that registry doing this junk, but it sure sounds like the same guy to me.
Sorry you had to deal with him... what a JERK! Don't you feel sorry for his animals? I mean, really!
