Hello, all. It's almost SUMMER, and most of us can just LOOK for a few hot spots here & there.
2 of my dogs already experienced hot spots this past week in the usual place for my dogs... jaw line/under chin area.
I was talking with Renee (RenScott) and she told me about HER solution for these spots. I now called it MIRACLE MIX, and if you don't read anything else I've ever posted, please read THIS one, because it'll save you BIG BUCKS in meds.
I used this on Cindy & Chancey over the weekend. Cindy's spots healed with only TWO applications, and Chancey's healed OVERNIGHT. I've never SEEN anything work so fast!
EPSOM SALTS AND ALOE. There ya go!
First, clean the spot/sore so that there is no dirt, etc. because you want the salts to go right to the skin.
Take a cup/container with some salts and add just enough aloe to begin dissolving the salts. Rub the "soggy salts" into the sore -- I massaged it in for a few seconds - worked well for MY dogs!
If you're wondering what form of Aloe to buy, you can get a BIG bottle (20-oz)of "Ocean Potion Burn Relief ICE" at Wal-Mart for about $3.50, which contains Aloe Vera, Lidocaine and Tea Tree Extract (blue jel, orange lid). It begins dissolving the epsom salts immediately.
Just a little hint: You'll want to do this outside in the yard... sticks to wooden deck floors like GLUE if you don't sweep it up quickly! (Ha-ha - we learn from experience, huh?)
Anyway, THANK YOU, Renee. That is the most economical, easy, and FAST way to clear up a hot spot.
