My name is Jim Dunsworth and my wife Irene live on acreage near Airdrie Alberta. We are expecting our first Cane Corso pup into the family in about 6 more weeks. We are getting excited and heard from the breeder Mark, that there is a very well decorated female handler who shows another breed and has many grand championship titles with her dogs, that is also getting the pick female out of our dog's litter to campaign in the confirmation circles.
My question is we are not really that much into showing, however is the Corso accepted into the CKC as a recognized breed now? I understand it went into full recognition with our American counterparts as of July 1st of this year. Also what are the requirements to go into the show ring? Meaning how old do they have to be and what registration papers do they need as our puppy is ICCF registered according to the breeder?
Any input would be appreciated,
