Kim and Wayne,
Just wanted to say a quick thank you for refunding most of my entry fee from the July tournament. Initially, I could not fish the event due to a serious back problem and moved my money to the August tournament. However, over the next few weeks doctors discovered that I had, in their words, "a very impressive herniated disc."
I underwent surgery on August 21, which of course made me unable to fish that months event. My surgery did not go as well as doctors had hoped. During the procedure my spinal chord burst open, which forced doctors to stop before they had done all that they had wanted. This turned my one day expected hospital visit into five days of me being forced to lie flat on my back, and it really sucked. They do believe that they achieved a decent result, but only time will tell if that is true.
I am recovering at home and can hopefully return to work sometime in mid-October. For all of you that believe in prayer, I would certainly appreciate being part of yours. I look forward to being able to participate in Castaway tournaments next year.
