I'm usually proud to say fishermen don't quit. Today was the first tournament i've ever had cancel for any reason.Nascar,golf,tennis baseball and numerous other sports stop at the first rain drop.Fishing--the show goes on unless no sight in getting better.Everyone knew the weather was going to clear.You could have kept the weigh-in time the same(4:00)just shorten the hours.If someone had planned on running to the chick,they deal with it.You don't penalize the rest of the field because where they choose to fish. Pro tour does this and all the way down to club ranks. By the way the bike race went as scheduled? Bicycles raced and we can't fish,yeah i'm not happy after spending 3 days practicing.

Here we go again. May be you should read my post to backboatn45. You know we have a responsibility to the fisherman to send them out safely. If that means making few of you mad im sorry. Kim & Wayne--It's been a day so i've cooled off some.What got under my skin was. The weather was going to get better as the day went.Instead of shortening the tournament hours(tournament directors)listened to a few concerned chickahominy anglers.I heard them complaining.It was obvious that played a role.Does safty come first....ABSOLUTLEY!!!! Don't think for a second the people complaining didn't want to be safe.A large portion of people just wanted a delayed start.We would have been 100% safe with that. I just think you made the decision based on not wanting to shorten the hours.It's just MY opinion.If you think what you did was right,then it was correct.You guys run the tournament,you guys make the decisions. 200+ fishermen went home safe. --Previous Message-- : Here we go again. :No one said you had to fish for 3 days, If you can't respect the safty of other boaters perhaps you don't need to be on the water. that is a very selfish comment you made.
