Here's a recent Garrett Discriminator BFO I picked up from Allan Cannon, Allan is well known treasure hunter.
Although I've only ran it in the back yard have put in many hours using other BFO detectors similar to this unit. Is your Garrett Discriminator like this one, If it is send me an email and will forward you information with using it.
Allot of us here on this particular forum are old fashion as well, So you're in good company.
