Hello from a Connery from Australia who is descended from the John, Patrick and James who were transported to Australia. I know a bit of what happened to them once they arrived and what they got up to and where some of them lived. I currently work about 500m from the former residences of both Eliza Connery and another Great grandmother in Newtown, Sydney. If you send me an email I may be able to help with some details eg. One or more of them was involved in a shipwreck on the south coast on arrival in NSW and they were the convicts who found the cattle that were lost from the first fleet. The Seargent at Arms of Hyde Park Barracks ( Innes) who eventually gave them their tickets of leave was an ancestor of one of my best friends, also an Innes. Theres more, just contact me if you want it, as our family is mighty proud of our ancestors and Brendan ( who lives near the ruins and wrote athesis on our family) knows all about it too.
