Most of the rain is in the winter and summers tend to get tinder dry as it is right now(fire risk is high). I wish I knew the annual precipitation average. People have reported widely different amounts, anywhere from 40 to over 50 inches, so I really don’t know for sure. We do have times where the rain is incredibly intense, so it seems to me that annual average precipitation numbers can be a little deceiving. Do you think it would tolerate 50 inches if that's what I actually get? Many of my succulents started from seed, like the carnerosana, are just starting to get big enough for a true test out in open. I’ve learnt the hard way, at least with agaves, that they seem to get more tolerant to frost/moisture with age. By the way, I saw the photo of you recent project at the UK Oasis site and it looks spectacular!
