I think the hybrid status of this species is questionable. It quite variable, and may have dusky blue-grey leaves, or green leaves, wide leaves or narrow leaves, many offsets or few. In New Mexico I found it more than 100 miles away from the nearest population of A. lechuguilla. So it is somewhat of a mysterious plant. It is a nice looking plant for sure, and should be very cold hardy. I am growing some seedlings on for future sale and I have seed of two forms available through my web site, desertnorthwest.com.
