I'm sending you a seed order! I've included a bunch of high altitude Agaves!
So far I've sucessfully overwintered 2 species in my WET eastern zone 5a (north of Kingston Ontario), Agave utahensis (no collection data) and a single Agave parryi (supposedly seed was from 7,500 feet in Arizona, but it is probably the 7,050 foot collection of the species!)
Someone should do some genetic work (AFLP) to determine if gracilipes is a hybrid of the 2 species... Looking at the picture I'm not too convinced that it is... It looks a bit like lechugilla, but I can't see that much neomexicana in it...
Do you have (or know) a book which mentions the species at all????
