I found another refernce to this.

A. x gracilipes. Trelease pro sp. (Annual Rep Missouri Bot. Gard. 22:95, 1912)
Type: USA, Texas (Mulford 293+293a [MO,NY].
Distribution; USA (SE New Mexico, W. Texas); Mexico (Chihuahua); on limestone among grama grass, 1250-1850m
Illustration; Gentry 91982:522, 527-528, 536)
A very variable complex, identified as the natural hybrid A. lechugilla x A. neomexicana by Trelease(l.c.), Gentry (1982:530), and Pinkava & Baker (1985). Since the latter putative parent is absent from major parts of the area of A. x gracilipes, other parent species must be involved as well (A. parryi?)
And thats it.
