I was in San Diego this week and bought a Agave salmiana ferox at Solana Succlents in Solana Beach. The Irish's book says that they're happiest above 25F (who isn't?). Does anyone have experiene with this one? Would I expect it to be hardy in wet PNW winters or should I keep it in a pot and under shelter?
