I set a bunch of my Agave and Yucca seedlings (various sizes mostly 1-4" across) in an unheated greenhouse for the winter. Whenever we have frost the leaves turn this dark green like they are dead. Then the next day they have returned to their normal color and are hard and firm again. Has anyone else observed this? It's kind of nerveracking and I hope the plants don't all collapse in spring - if nothing else this freezing and thawing has to cause some stress. However with no overhead water I am certain they are much better off than they would be outdoors in the open. Ian
