I am just about to replant my old Agave and Yucca collections from years' plants. I still have heaps of seed and they still give consistent, excellent germination. I also have some seeds from Mesa Garden and rarepalmseeds.com left from last year that I will be starting. All told perhaps 50 Agave and 20 Yucca collections! I have a lot of cactus seed hanging about too, but I will not get around to planting it until spring.
Other than collecting things myself, Mesa Garden is probably my favorite source for cactus and succulent seed. Rarepalmseeds.com is pretty good for large quantities of Agave/Yucca but prices for small amounts are steep and now is not a good time to buy seeds from overseas given the weak US dollar. I am less than thrilled with Koehres Kaktus which seems to have a problem identifying certain things, especially rare Yucca seeds. To the 4 or 5 of you still out there... what are some of your favorite seed sources for cacti and succulent plants? What seeds do you plan on starting this spring or in the near future?
