Hello,
I grow some types of Dasylirion here in my garden in Germany,
also I tested this winter the hardiness of some types which
I will plant out this year.
Below you will find my Result-Report which types I have tested and which
types has no damages yet.
We had this year 3 weeks permanent frost and the max temps was -14°C
Results
There are no visible damages on the below plants
Dasylirion wheeleri trunk ca.10-15cm without wetness protection
Dasylirion longissimum trunk ca. 40-50cm wetness protected
Dasylirion serratifolium trunk ca. 10-15cm without protection
Dasylirion glaucophyllum trunk ca. 30-40cm without protection
Dasylirion leiophyllum trunk ca 30-40cm wedness protected
Nolina nelsonii trunk ca. 5cm with & without protection
Nolina microcarpa trunk 7-10cm without protection
Nolina lindheimeriana trunk ca.5cm without protection
I want also test this year the following types of Dasylirion
Dasylirion acrotrichum trunk ca. 30-40cm
Dasylirion texanum trunk ca. 30-40cm
Dasylirion miquihuanensis
Dasylirion hidalgense *
Dasylirion lucidum *
*small sizes because bigger sizes are not available in Germany.
